ok new with the e30s here. so i just got a boosted 87 e30 2.7 with the miller war chip and 42 ilbs injectors. car idles fine after i replaced the coolant temp sensor swtich. even before if i reved it up to 2200rpm or on the way back down the car would just go down to 400 rpm and die? i have no idle what would cause this on a e30. i thought it might have been in the tune but does it with the stock tune back on. have tried anothe icv but does it also. the car use to idle around 800 rpm and the go up to 1400 rpm every few seconds till i replace the coolant temp switch... can any one help me on this. i just want to start driving this beast. (i bought it with it taken apart the motor was in and running just the body was apart for the paint job the last owner did.... all grounds are good and about 87% sure there is not a vac leak.......any hlep will be awesome!

Strange, same problem again.....

Anyway....Have you checked the operation of the TPS ?

Yeah i went and got a new one just cause and same thing. I took the throttle body off and clear the heck out of it and where the coolant lines go in there was a blockage but that's all cleaned up now.

have you done the circuit test on the TPS, even if is new, you still to check that the idle part of the TPS circuit close's IMEDIATLY the moment the throttle is closed.

No I hae not but the one I got is from bmw so I was hoping it would just be right lol. I will do more trouble shooting tomorrow but I am also going to load more tunes from the miller war site to just double check for the 20th time

The troubles of buying some one else problem that should have not touch any where under hood.

if it if a new TPS, then all you will need to do is set it up. this is easier to do with the throttle body of the car.

You could try unplugging the air flow meter, if the car runs fine after then its probably faulty.

So went and got a new tps and tested that both are good I'm still having the same issue and about ready to sell this damn thing!!! I was wondering if 42lb injectors are to big! Why am I fuel dumping???? I have put 3 set of plugs in due to fouling out

what is the pressure in the fuel rail ?

I put the stock one back on but the other one I had was 3 bar

Ok went out to the spare engine took the stock 14lb injector off and replace the 42lbs idles a lot better also went and got br8es spark plugs cause I was not in the mood to clean the br7es. So after swapping all the parts over ran fine I could rev it up to 2500 or so and would not die. But the issue at hand is not the injectors are way to small not getting enough Fuel with a load on it. So my question now is if 19lbs will do or should I go back to the 42lb?? My air fuel gauge is saying to much air witch is beenike that from the get go. For a few min I had the air fuel gauge jumping around from 12.00 to 15.00??? I mind blown away now

42's do sound a bit too much....how much PSI dose the system produce ?
what sort of sensor are you using to measure the AFR ?

It's a wide bad system. On the walbro pump I can get it pulsing close to 80 psi but that's just on the Ireland fuel pressure regulator. You can tell it don't like that at all. I think I will try the 19s to waste two or so hours of my life. Really seems like it's the miller war tunes just dumping fuel when not needed. I don't get white smoke now with the 14lb....

Sorry to see so stupid but I'm mined blown the kit comes with 42lb and I really starting to think it's in the dang tune. I'm mind blown I tried to post a video but can't. I'm pulling my hair and sad to say loosing sleep. I not at least bit of smart with the software. All I work on at work is fords and Jon deeres and few cats. I know jeeps like know one else. I starting to think I just need to find a shop in town hat cane tune this nightmare.

Sorry, I meant how much PSI of boost.

I don't think it will be the Miller stuff, they are normally pretty reliable straight out of the box.

How are the fuel lines connected to the fuel rail ?
is the fuel supply line connected to the fuel rail or the regulator ?

So now the 42s are back in and still does out after a rev above 2300 Rpm. I really starting to think it's in the tune again now. I get white smoke under boost only or more or less after boosting. Thinking cause of to much fuel I'm going to have to do tunning with the fuel

Tune or bad Ecu is the bottom of this or maybe timing off

best thing I can suggest then is to get it back to standard tune, try and bypass the turbo.

Normally if the timing is off, it runs crap thru the rev range...
