Hi Guys.
The other day after starting up my car I could hear a noise that sounded almost like a water sprinkler, So i'm guessing the water pump needs replacing.

can anyone recommend any good garages around the staines and woking area please, I would like to find one that does a lot of work on old BM's.

Could you also give me an idea on what it might cost?

Very flimsy evidence on which to condemn the water pump. It may be that, but there are other possibilities.
Relatively easy check to eliminate the pump and a few other candidates is to run the engine for half a minute with the fan belt removed to see if the noise has gone.
Renewing the pump is a relatively easy job, as long as the old one hasn't corroded itself into position.

Like I said I'm guessing its the water pump.

The noise is intermittent and the water temp is still sitting in the middle.

Just want to get it sorted and really looking for advice on a good local garage
