Load clunking noise from rear e30 325i cab

Hi guys
Was wondering if anyone can help..recently on my e30 325i cab Thers a rather load clunking noise coming from rear and feels likes something hitting the body underneath from rear..only happens if I drive it hard..if I set of normally without the hard revs Thers nothing?any ideas ?i personally think it's something to do with propshaft?thers no whines or anything coming from diff..some people suggested check the driveshafts etc may be loose?

Have you looked at the exhaust hangers? Might be that simple.

Will have a check Tomoz try get it on the ramp..hopefully something minor as only hapens if I launch of hard...driving normal nothing at all

Yep, either of the ones I mentioned. I've done both - only made noises on track but totally silent on road.

Guibo is easy - 4 bolts or something.
Rear bushes are a bastard to do on your back. Not impossible though (I've just done mine).

driveshafts,

i explored all options, exhaust, handbrake shoes shit hitting...

i pulled my shafts out yday and was met with this....

took a while but cleaned it out with some cotton buds and a shit load of brake cleaner swished about...

had metal particles i believe and shit inside...

packed it out fully with grease and hoping it does the job...

A quick test is to check that all four diff bolts are on tightly. It's not unknown for one to work loose over time.

If they're all on tight, check the things others have said, and also check if your rear beam bushes have ever been done. If not, they're long overdue.

Guibo or centre bearing maybe.....need to look at both at the same time!

Noises at all speeds is often the lower bolt on the rear shocks or the top mountings as stated.....doubt this is the case here. :?
