Water in the boot

Guys, I'm getting a lot of water in the DS corner of the boot, but can't identify where it's coming from.

I'm going to get a new seal, but I can't see the water coming from the top. I put newspaper all over the carpet and in the corners and run the jet wash over it for a period of time, and didnt get any water coming in, but when I leave the car for a few days and check under the carpets, particularly on the drivers side corner, I'm seeing a puddle.

If it's was the seal, surely the the water would be coming in and weting the first aid box and everything no?

I had some creeping up under the seal from water gathering around there. Silicon'd it down and it's stopped it.

Iv got a touring and same thing, water fills the n/s where the tools are kept. Everyone says it's the taillight seals. I just drilled a small hole and let is drain

I fitted a new boot seal but didnt cure the problem, and still can't seem to see where it was coming from, even using talc and newspaper. In the end I've put a towel in that corner and left it, seems to absorb whatever comes in.

One day once I've sorted everything else, I'll spend some time look at rear light seals etc.,

there are vents on both side of the car behind the rear bumpers, you can see them if you remove the boot lining. You can easily replace the seals on those by taking the bumper off and also tail light seals are to check.

I also have had problems with water in the boot. I had several leaks.

* I have an original spoiler (that rubber thing) And that's bolted on. 1 bolt was missing.
* When I removed the rubber of the trunk, There was an little hole due to corrosion.
* And water came in at one bolt of the bumper.
