Afternoon Zoners,
Just a quick question on car batteries. I have as you all probably know a standard 318iS M42. I am in need of a new battery.
I had a quick look at the ecp site and came across 2 which I think would work fine. The two are:
1:
http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/BMW_3 ... 821&000020
&
2:
http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/BMW_3 ... f4c&000020
Which one should I get out of the two above and or should I stay away from both?
If so which one do you all recommend.
Thanks
J

Get a decent one from your local scrapyard for £15 and buy a cheap charger from aldi or lidl and it'll last fine.
Recycling is the way forward.

£104! I hope you popped a discount code in. I am about to get a new battery for my 318iS, an 065 type which I believe is correct for the vehicle, ~£45 for a Bosch one. If you change your mind, you can just return the one you've ordered.

...and use code SAVEME75 at the checkout.

Hi mate,
The one I am about to order comes to a total of 73.08 inc delivery this is for the S5 027 battery and this is with a 30% discount the code is (RENEW30).
I presume both will work fine, I have nothing in the car that will drain the battery. The car is fairly standard, no sounds no electrical extras.
Having just checked the same S5 027 on car parts for less the total comes to £64.74 inc delivery that's a saving of £8.34. A nice little result there.
What are the differences between the S3 065 and S5 027 ?
I would go to my local breakers if they still existed seems as if most London yards have seemed to perish away.

The one you've ordered has a longer guarantee and a higher capacity. Should work well, but would be an unnecessary expense for me.

Exactly the same battery, from the same warehouse, picked and packed by the same people, using the same order code, will cost you £65 from CP4L, if you order something else at £5 at the same time.
