overheating problem

hi, I need some help/advice solutions to the above problem.
In brief, had an issue with overheating which resulted in me replacing the water pump. unfortunately at that time the mate that did this for me did not replace the timing belt which I got done about two weeks later
everything was fine with no issues. three weeks later the car started overheating again and we replaced the thermostat.
the temperature was ok again then two weeks later its started to overheat
the funny thing is when I drive/move the car the temperature starts to come down. when i'm at lights or static it starts to creep up again.
is there a sensor or something else that needs changing?

tia

If its fine when driving/on the move but creeps up when stationary, I'd be changing the viscous fan unit.
