you can't put a high comp loom on a low comp ECU, the plugs won't fit. And you can't fit a high-comp ECU to a low-comp gearbox if, by low comp gearbox, you mean the one with the speed sensors in the bell housing.

You can just convert a low-comp engine to the latest engine management system using this guide:

You will need to swap some sensors and bits from the later low comp engine but it all fits, early and late engines had different cooling systems as well pipes to different locations and different water pumps for this reason, so you may need to think about that as well.

Well basically I've got a 2.7 bottom end and a '885' head. I'm building up as I go along n I need to know which loom to use. Also if I'm using the later head do I use a later rad aswel?

Cheers

Definitely use the later loom and management system.
Rad. depends on which water pump you fit to the engine.
