E30 Zone

hiya guys my e30 engine was running good for sometime i did a full services only filter i didnt change was the fuel filter the problem is last night i tryed starting it after work it didnt turn over when it did i had to hold the throttle foot to the floor and the engine wasnt reving it was just about staying alive needed up recovering it home then it started up and sounded fine but after that i tryed starting agein now it wont turn over it was low on fuel topped it still the same any ideas?

when you say does not trun over you mean it does not fire or does not turn over? both are very different issues!

What did you service? did you play with the air filter?, did you remove the Air Flow Meter to do that? sounds to me like the AFM is not working, or you have not connected the pipes from filter to AFM to inlet manifold properly.

the cars trys to start but fails to run everything looks connect ?

I'm with Lee on this one - check the AFM plug is in and the big convoluted hose from the AFM to the throttle body isn't split.

gona remove it torrow and give it a good look over had it for 4 years first time its ever played up thanks guys will deffo have a look
