Cleaning clutch plate - Possible?

Rear crank oil seal went on my 325 and as youd expect everything is covered in oil. Cleaning the clutch cover and flywheel with brake / clutch cleaner is fine but will the friction plate be scrap now or can it be cleaned too?
Was thinking of giving it a hot, soapy bath and gentle scrub as shelling out over £100 for a complete clutch isnt really an option at the moment. GSF say they dont do the plate on its own and cp4l are out of stock of just the plates.
Any other options or ideas on where to get a replacement plate or how best to clean mine?
Thanks

Brake cleaner will be fine on the centre plate, its only solvent and will evaporate off

you may find that the oil has soaked in to the centre plate though, so you may be able to clean the surface oil off and will look clean but as soon as it gets some heat in it the oil will make its way to the surface. iv had this with brake pads before.

Depends on how oiled it is. If it is lightly oiled then Dan's idea may work.
My experience if it is soaked in, then no matter how much cleaner is used the oil won't come out fully and will result in clutch slip etc.

Its not too soaked and hasnt been left sitting in it. It sounds like I will try the brake cleaner and hope for the best.
Cheers

i had the same problem, f00kin crank seal, i soaked mine in a bucket with tfr for a day, and then hot water, i didnt change anything but the crank seal and my clutch is not slipping, you could soak it in any degreaser i think but do make sure you give it a good wash
