Hello I am a first time poster and wanting a miracle from someone!.. I have a very low mileage (13k) and mint 1989 325i Convertible, still with its original tyres and bottle top alloys. I bought the car, via the Classic and Sports Car website, some five years ago - bit of a bargain as barn find etc. My problem is that it has the o/e BMW key operated alloy wheel locks and of course I do not have the key! Spoken to BMW who said they can do nothing. I realise I could drill/chisel them off but as the locks are no longer available I do not really want to do that. Anybody got any spare keys or other good ideas. Best wishes to all.

First of all, have you had a good search around for the key? Ashtrays, glovebox, tied to the jack, in the tool kit box, tied to the spare wheel, etc.?
Can't help you with a key, other than the above, but they are VERY easy to deal with, using nothing more than a flat blade screwdriver and a light hammer. Once the lock is out of the way, you are left with a standard size 17mm wheel nut.

As above, unless it OEM homoness, they provide no safety against theft and they are not worth using. They are also not that difficult to come across, they come up for sale on here and you can find them on breakers before the yards rip them off to remove the wheels.
