this is what ive got
and this is where i think it goes
What im unsure of is do i splice them in or do i cut the wires solder them in and if so which side of the plug
also im guessing the brown wire with the washer connector in the earth?

Yup, should be the same.
I didn't realise that EWS wiring info was in the wiki.
As per you other thread, it looks like you've bought my old conversion, that's my EWS wiring!
I'm not sure what Shane has labeled on the two inline fuses, but they only need hooking up to power - one live all the time, the other live when the ignition switch is in the acc, run and start position (from memory I added the wire directly to a terminal on the ignition switch itself).
The only wires you should need are those that are free. All the other wires that are obviously taped up aren't needed - some is E36 specific stuff, the others are for the starter inhibitor circuit, which I decided not to use - the car will turn over, but not fire unless the key is in the antenna loop.
Once you have it wired in and running, you can pull the unused pins from the yellow plug to tidy it all up, which is something I never got round to doing!
