Went on euro car parts and the sachs clutch they stock for my 325i is down from £160 to £120. Is this the best usual price clutch for the e30? I know theres other more expensive 'performance' cluthces on ebay but are they really worth it. Seem a bit pricey, may do the the od track day, not sure yet but mainly just going to be a weekend road car.

Sachs is a good known brand, and the clutch gets used in swaps more powerful than normal M2B25 applications, so it'll be strong enough for your car.
When I did my engine swap, the old Sachs clutch was the original 1988 unit, and did over 200,000km

http://www.carparts4less.co.uk - ECP sister company, same parts, lower cost. Sachs clutch kit about £90-£100.

ECP do sell Sachs kit, but they don't have the exact same one that was designed for 325i. The one they sell is for a 325e, which also has a different part number...
Long story short, I did my clutch 2 weeks ago and spent a lot of time trying to find the right part. I ended up getting LUK clutch kit from GSF, which is specific to a 325i.
GSF part number is: 189BM0040
LUK part number is: 62 303 2700
Reserve it online and then pick up in store. Use the coupon code "CK2013" at checkout, so the total works out to £132.34
While you're doing the clutch, you may want to replace a few other parts as well...

Careful with the linkage. Before you know it, it's another 150 quid in parts, including a short shifter
All the part numbers are in the Wiki if you need it - start looking on the Drivetrain page.

There's a discount code for a further £10 off of that, or £15 if you can add another £7 to your order.
