Need the whole set up, including the plugs for the lights, which will need changing (depending on what was done to fit the wrong lights).

Are you absolutely sure the car has the wrong lights? Do you know that for 1988 there were non-smiley headlights for the first facelift cars, called "bullseyes"?

ah i see. now thats interesting, it is a 88. Its had a front end repair so I assumed that the wrong lights had been fitted. If theyre original then I may as well keep them as is. Thanks for the help :D

Both 'smileys' and 'bullseyes' use a lens to focus the light, with the 'reflector' for decorative purposes only (except for the parking light).
Pre face lift lights use a reflector and prismatic front glass to make some attempt at creating an acceptable beam pattern.
