Good oil to use for 325i

So confused a the mo I have asked around and got two answer either a 5w40 fully synthetic or a 10w40 semi based on my driving I not do many miles only take the motor out on few occasions motorway maybe 6 times a year but I'm going to start using it a lt more pointless just sitting there like it has done for many years waiting for te great British weather ....any advice appreciated ....

Mobil 1 5w40 Fully synthetic. That's what I use anyway. Had a garage change the oil once whilst it was in having other work done, came out sounded no where near as sweet, turns out they'd used Carlube 10w40 semi-synthetic. Put fresh 5w40 back in and all was good again

10w40 should be fine. That's what I use in mine

How many miles has it covered and is it an early high comp or late low comp ?

Hi its got 103,000 on it and its a 1992 if that's any help .

10w40.
I prefer mineral but semi is good too.
