Front centre arm rest

Hi all
Anyone fitted a front arm rest to their interior?. I'm well keen on fitting one to mine, but have never seen one in an E30 before. Would an E36 job fit or something, or is there a better option. I reckon it would be preferable to fit a whole middle console section unit, including the arm rest, like the E36, rather than drill hole in drivers seat bolster to fit an arm rest, the way mercs seem to do it.
Cheers
Paul

Auto drivers...
I think the best option is individual e34 ones. They do bolt into the seats but i think would get in the way less than one big one.
oh yea there is a factory e30 one.
Why do you want one anyway? e30's are driving in not relaxing...

there are one or two armrests out. The is the BMW aftermarket one which attatches to the centre console round the handrake..you can get them from the states,a few are availible here at around Ԛ£100
there are second market ones,,look on ebay.de,,going for about Ԛ£20
and I have seen another on this site ,,if you do a search there are quite a few threads
I think the e36 console is too wide anyway ,,,no one here has said they have fitted one

Here's a set on ebay.de, it says for E34 & E32 but i'm pretty sure they can be fitted to an E30. I quite like these ones

Yeh, those ones on ebay are the skinny individual ones, for a 5, bolt to seat. Don't like those much, prefer the larger single ones, like in the E36. As i've got a switchable auto, front arm rests are a great comfort addition for this type of cruisy driving. Much prefer to a manual, forever changing in & out of gear in traffic, not to mention wearing your clutch out.
Cheers for your suggestions

Sorry but they are camp. I use to have one on my E46 and it was great, but they just don't suit the E30.
Don't do it!!!

Get hold of a e34 5 series the armrests fit, just a quick drill job, be careful to unpick seat cover and just cut small slot, slide bracket through and into steel seat frame, bolt up and ...there

u go fully adjustable armrest.
got mine from a fiver off and old scrapped 518 jplater.
happy hunting!

What about an OEM armrest?
Was there ever one for an E30 anyways?
Look at this NICE interior. If there ever was an OEM one, this has to be the one. (since it's so nicely integrated in the console:
(sorry if it's too big)
If pic doesn't show:

Hmm then the OEM looks crappy with these big metal plates on the side.
Then I have to give props to the one in the pic I posted.

M_Parallel,
What an amazing car, very nice front centre armrest, that is exactly the sort of thing I had hoped to be able to get, basically a proper e36 type job, for the E30. Is that your car in the pic? Please tell me more. I guess anything can be made, at a price - custom jobs etc.
Don't think the BMW one is up to much mind guys, the slip on job wouldn't be too bad I suppose, difficult to tell from the pic's though, and Stevetigger's "try this mod" is brilliant. Is that your granny's sewing box or something? ha ha
Thanks for your idea's
