323I HIGH TICKOVER

HI i have just rebuilt my 323I engine in my BAUR TC alls well except that it has a very high tickover everything seems ok as theres all new pipes, water , petrol , and vacum has anybody got any ideas on how to get a normal tickover summers coming and i want to use it :( :(

3) There's a very high chance it's the air slide valve:

what year is the car?

could be the air slider valve under the inlet manifold sticking.

take it off and blow threw it make sure it fine, also check for something simply like sticking throttle cable.

Thanks guys the new one arrived in 6 days from germany and yes that was the problem ,
i can now get the rest of the car in good order for the sunny weather thanks again Also i like the new facia design interesting thought andy :D :D
