Does anyone know if the inlet manifolds on the 325 engines are all the same or if there are some that are different?

There's no difference accross the 325i range.

325e's had a different one as did 320's and 323's but all 325i's have the same manifold. I have about 6 here if you need one!

would there be any benefit from changing 325i manifold to 325e and will it fit ok without problems

Why would you want to do that?

Most definately not, the 325e inlet is much more restrictive than the 325i one. It would work the other way round though if you happened to own a 325e and wanted to fit an "i" manifold

Not unless you ported the head to match

Yes you would need to do that to do a proper job.

It would still give small gains over the eta manifold though.
