M10 318i Radiator Change - What will fit?

Hi Chaps,
I have an 1987 pre-facelift 318i with an M10 engine.
My radiator is absolutely knackered (un-reparable) and my because my temp gauge is out I figure I should replace it.
Anyone know the range of radiators I could get away with? Need a solution on the cheap just to keep the car on the road.
The M40 style radiator seems to be a completely different shape, can anyone shed any light?
What are the thoughts on a used radiator? Steer clear? One to fit this engine would be at least 25 years old.
Cheers

Basically, you need a radiator for an M10 engined car. I'm running an auto rad in a manual and it doesn't have any problems, so if you're going second hand, you can live with an auto rad. However, brand new, a manual radiator will most likely be cheaper.
Carparts4less have a Nissens manual rad for (alright brand) for £82. Just got to shop around. It's all about how much money you have. A 2nd hand radiator might be fine for another 10 years or might give up in 2 months, it's just a gamble.
What is wrong with your radiator and why is it unrepairable?

Losing a lot of fluid. Took it a local radiator guy and he said it was the top seal but the whole thing is a mess and wasn't worth fixing.
A couple on eBay for 70 delivered so it looks like the way to go.
I just have to man up and pay. Can't really complain, it will be the second over £50 hit I've had to take since buying the thing as a non-runner for £360!
