Hi this is my second post on the same topic. I am convinced that my 316 convertible is not a Baur ( nor is it a genuine BMW convertible). My car has a one piece soft top held in place by press studs and velcro, their is no Baur badging anywhere nor does it have a hard top type roof section (as Baur,s do). The installation is very good, does anyone know if this type of conversion was offered by anyone other than Baur, or was a kit offered for DIY installation or perhaps this car is a one off? Any help in identifying this car would be appreciated.
Cheers
Phil

There were a few conversions available before BMW introduced the 'proper' cabbie.Sounds like the OP has found one of these.
But press studs and velcro is more Morgan and MG than BMW!

Hi Phil,
It seems that this was a conversion done in the UK. I've seen some more E30's with a roof like you describe it. But who did this conversions??
