What's the best way to get the pins out? Do most people cut the wires further down the line, or just pull the pins and put them into a different location?
Cheers

Requires a special tool to release the pins and leave them serviceable, but the only conversion I can think of that needs pins relocated is when fitting a M30 anchor.
The M50/52 swap requires you to discard the plug on the new engine loom completely and replace it with the smaller 20 pin one from an E30. I do this by using an E30 plug, complete with enough of the original wiring to reach up to the bulkhead, chop off the M50/52 loom plug, then splice the E30 wires to it, using soldered joints and heat shrink sleeving, enclosing the whole lot with the bulkhead wiring cover from a M40 engined E30.

Ah right. Didn't know that. I think I won't be starting my swap for a while yet. Going mad on my shell and using the E36 Donor Car as a daily driver for now...
Thanks for the info.
