Hi guys,

Was removing the cylinder head on a m40 engine to replace the head gasket and i accidentally snapped a head bolt which is now stuck deep in the block. I am doing this at a lock up garage that has not got any means of electricity and im unable to drill the broken bolt out. Has anybody got any idea's what else i could do to try and remove the broken bolt? thanks in advance everyone.

Unless your very good with your tongue you will need to drill it.

Unless the break has burred the thread, the remains should be completely loose in the hole.
Try superglue on the end of a pencil that has an eraser on it, and if that doesn't work, try a special left handed drill bit in a cordless drill. As soon as it gets into the bolt it should spin it out.
