Instrument cluster beeping.

The Clocks in my 316I make a beeping noise every now and again.
What does it mean?.
Also the indicator stalk goes up an extra click when you push it up when they are on but doesn't seem to do anthing.

anyone come across this before.

This switches on the sidelights on the side selected,mandatory in some countries.

There are no audio sounders in the instrument cluster. Wherever your 'beep' is coming from, it's not there.
Do you have an analogue clock?

No it has a six button lcd clock. It sounds to be right infront of me does the sound.

Do you have a speed limit set on the OBC?

Six button clock doesn't have the speed limit option, AFAIK, but it does have the 'memo' function which produces a beep fifteen seconds before the hour (as a reminder to switch to a news broadcast), or produces a beep when the outside temperature drops below three degrees.
