The locks are the same across all models except the boot lock. It is fiddly to get at.
Take the door card off, there is a big C shape clip that holds the lock barrel onto the car. It will be just visible under the bracket that hooks up to the central locking solenoid.

Seems to be an increasing trend on here. I'm sure the rules will be updated soon to attempt to stop it happening.
I'm tired of it already.

To be honest the whole zone is a bit shit at the moment IMO
There is still some good threads but all the "GLWS" Spam and "what's it worth" threads... its just tiresome in general!

I can get away with using the Zone at work, but if anyone sees this thread title over my shoulder I will be in for a very hard time from my colleagues and superiors.
I will not be helping this user in the future; I'd even go so far as to suggest a banning. What an utterly idiotic thing to post as a thread title on here.

So can you elaborate, can you see the barrel at all?

I got it sorted yesterday, but I had to undo the electric window mechanism to get my arm in!!!!! I was concerned that I wouldn't get the window back on to the mechanism. I didn't have to do this when fixing the convertable locks, seem to remember it being much easier to get arm in and see what I was doing. I now have the central locking working, but I think I will need new locks, as they slip on past the point of locking. I also had to re-solder the fuse in the central locking module and i done the red/black thing when I was at it.

Locks are NOT the same across all models. Very late tourings have lock motors built into the door catches, similar to those on the E34/36, and equally as unreliable.

I just went out this morning planning on giving the car a good wash and waxing, and found my wiper arms were broken off and both door mirrors were broke off. Is it possible to glue the mirrors back on??? or has anyone the following for sale?
1 front wiper arm
1 rear wiper arm
both electric door mirrors in Lachs silver
Cheers

Rear lower guide for the window glass is secured by a single bolt. When this bolt is removed the guide unhooks, and can be swung up out of the way.
