When i did it i just broke the clips off and replaced them with new ones anyway.
Mine also had two screws on the back which screwed in to the lip on the outer arch. There are screws on the front as well. Also, there are clips (about 4 - 6 iirc in the area under the door, but above the sill. Mine required a bit of a pull to get them off)

I think so mate, pull the rear section off first, then the small front section off first.
Bear in mind that there are the small insert clip things (sorry for poor description). You're best off buying new clips and using new self tapping screws as well as cleaning everything very well and rust proofing if not done properly under the skirts before. Of course, only if you want to refit the things.

cheers bud, got it off without too much drama, broke the clips that run the full length of the skirt tho, innevitable i think. didnt realise there were 2 fixings behind the mtech kit on the wing but saw them after tugging for a bit.
cheers

No problem. The new clips aren't expensive at all from BMW. I replaced all mine, cost less than £10 when i did it.
