Ive recently bought a lowering kit for my car which is surposed to drop the car up to 80mm. The fronts are replacement inserts and a kind of coilover set up allowimg you ajust the ride height, I have got this set with the ajust nuts at the lowest part on the sleave which as gave the height I wanted with the tyres just at arch level. The rears are new springs with adjusting platforms for the springs to sit on, ive not fitted the platforms in the aim to get it low as but as ive dropped it down its not gone down far at all in fact its pretty much the same. Do I need the platforms on and srewed right up or do I have the right way as I have it now. Or do I need different springs? Any help will be great and thanks for reading my thread.

what make are these bud jom/prosport off ebay ? , you have done the right thing with the rear without the platforms to acheive lower , your best bet would be to get some diffrent springs gaz are good priced depends how low you want to go , or you could go all out and et the grinder out lol

well for the front you could use e90 top mounts i believe , ill double check but this will make the front 10-15mm ish lower , ive got 9j with 205/40/16 tyres i cut a coil off the rear sprin and it sits it the arech just nice ,
you could just trim half a coil off the rear to acheive desired height , oh i have the same suspension prosport ebay £220 there not bad comfyer ride than vw-will gaz coils so im told but his is rock solid
but as for spring rate ect best off going to gaz in basildon with one of the springs and explaining what you want there alot cheaper than what people think
