Hi zone,

My cab is a second / project car and therefore hardly ever gets out (only weekends when I can) so I need to get a good battery that's going to hold it's charge without having to go on regular runs..!! :D

Any help / advise guys..?

Thanks

Even the best battery is going to drain if you don't use the car because of things like the clock, radio and alarm system. Some systems can drain it in a few weeks. If the car is in a garage, get hold of a trickle charger that will maintain the battery, some just plug into the cigarette lighter.

Halfords brand! seriously!

my 335 has the same tiny halfords battery as when i got it as a 316i. it's taken no end of abuse cranking the 3.5 engine while i built the car, has to power a big electric fan most of the time the engine's running, has been used to jump start other cars loads of times and run completely flat (due to my own stupidity)about 5 times.

and it still cranks it over very quick and doesn't mind being left for 2 weeks.
