hi there i have a f plate 320i staright 6, it was very jumpy when i was accelerating and when it got to 4000rpm it seemed to level out, i changed all 6 plugs and leads plus the dissy cap and rotar arm and it seemed to sort it out, but now its jumping again but only when the engine is cold, as soon as its been run for 10 mins its fine again.
Can any1 give me some advice as to what it could be at fault, i was thinking it might be the fuel filter??

top front of the engine near the dizzy cap. there are two screw in sensors, one has a brown bit of plastic, the other one was or still is blue.

Test the blue sensor before you start chucking money at it.
iirc, cold it should read about 3000ohm hot around 300ohm.

Get a multimeter set to ohm and put the prongs on the terminals of the sensor and get the readings.
It is better to test this at the ECU plug but what pins in the plug i dont know.
