E30 Zone

hi all
im stumped and wonder if anybody can help me
i have a 325i mtec sport south african import on a g plate

1) when my doors are closed my electric windows or sunroof dont work
if i open my passenger door they all light up and work close that door n open drivers door and nothing works changed fuses and relay but no difference

2)my clocks wont light up bought 2 new bulbs for it and nothing all other bulbs working checked n changed fuse but to no avail

3) heater blower motor not working on any speeds relay changed and still nothing

4) i have a 6 pin relay with a bracket on it in the drivers speaker well next to what i think is the central locking relay that wont stop clicking phoned bmw parts department and he didnt have a clue gave him the numbers off it n he said he couldnt find it

5) wanted to chip it but there is no numbers on it and the ecu doesnt look like the ones on ebay mines about the size of the abs one on the passenger side all i got is a big sticker saying ic electronic control unit and embossed motronic


yeah i know they are all electrical questions

any help would be gratefuly appreciated

If the relay for point 4 is clicking like mad then I would suggest checking the white plug on the drivers door that goes between the door and the body of the car and has loads of wires. If the connection here is loose you will have problems with the windows and the electric wing mirrors I had the exact same problem with mine.

Thats about the extent of knowledge on the internal electrics but I'm sure someone else should be able to help.

your windows i had this problem the on off switch just next the the widow switch was broken try this bud ,
sounds stupid and been said plenty of times before but , try the dimmer switch on the light switch , to use twist headlight switch clockwise ,

from my knoledge the blower could be knakered or a resistor of some sort someone else will no this im having trouble with it only working on no.4
