Fitting M3 front drop links to standard E30 struts

Hi,
has anyone ever made weld-on or bolt on brackets for normal E30 front struts, so that E30 M3 style drop links can be fitted?

PS: I can provide an M3 strut as a template if someone is versatile in making brackets.

Cheers
Ingo

See photo below shows drop links fitted just below lower spring pan.

Is there really any noticeable benefit of doing this?

It'll be like running a slight stiffer front roll bar.

Iv seen it done but i cant really say it would give much of a benefit vs a rose jointed stock set up.
After all the increase in stiffness will only really be from removing the rubber bushes.
The increase in the length of the drop link and the associated increase in elongation for a given stress of a longer bar will negate the improvement of the tension vs compression equation.
