Which rocker broke?

If its near number 6 cyl its easier to change as the rail slides out only a bit to swap the rocker. If its on number 1 cyl the rail has to be slid right out and other rockers removed to get to it.
BUT if you have a broken rocker you will be very lucky not to have a bent valve to go with it.

yer, changing the head for a good one sounds best bet to me, plus the added benefit of having a nice new head gasket. The zone is great for this stuff, it wasn't that long ago when a replacement head would have cost mega bucks. :)

have decided to change head as number 4 rocker broke.on inspection yes the valve was bent, the whole head was a bit shot really.got a head off a zoner seems okay apart from 2 exhaust valves not wanting to come out the guide, the tops had mushroomed .can i reuse or are the tops now weakened? should i replace?

imo while the head is off if there is anything untoward, replace it! you would hate yourself if you cut a corner while fitting it and something went wrong 2 months later 8O
