US ebay is selling for £220 + £50 postage - maybe we can do a group buy if enough people are after one and share postage costs!

Iv been google searhing few companies the cheapest one i found was in birmingham and they said supply and fit £645 +vat.... the rest are saying just supply around £500. would it be easy to fit... and also do you guys have any idea if there is a gap on the roof on both side next to the rear quarter glass... should there be a rubber seal there... some people told me there should be a little brush there and some are saying there shouldnt be anything there the roof cloth just sits on the body of the car any idea

here's a how to
http://www.shareaproject.com/pages/proj ... 17,00.html

a roof on its own should be £300 without fitting and fitted £550 + seems about right .....but if you are doing the roof check to see if the tensioner straps are ok as its the only time you can replace them..also its a good time to buy the tensioner wires the run down the side of the roof..they are usually prone to snapping after 20 years +

try these people...not the cheapest but mine doesnt leak after 5 years and the price includes the front fixing plate ...give them a bell and ask who their nearest agent to you is for a fitted price

i also used Dave's suggested supplier, very good quality, comes with the brushes and the metal rivet bar that runs along the front rail. you can only buy the rubber weather seal from BMW.

I also considered DIY fitting, but decided against it. I did watch the guys doing it (it took them baout three hours) and they only used basic tools and the glue is only for the upper cross rails and rear rail, nothing special just contact adhesive.....but haing spend 350 on a roof i would not want to mess it up for another 200 quid to fit.

Other alterntives are looking on here and ebay for a complete roof with frame and fitting that.
