e30 325 water pipe connector thing...

...that sits to the front of the engine and has three connections to the water pipes.
Please can someone tell me what this is caused and if anyone has one for sale? I think I may just need one...

Are u talking about the one way valve for the windscreen washers?

Thanks guys; found it on the web. Tis indeed the thermostat housing and is the same as that above. Confused me a treat as it also has "made in france" on it. WTF, on a BMW...?
Now I just need to find a replacement part. Cookferries list it as "BMW 2002 THERMOSTAT & HOUSING E21 316 320 M10" at just shy of £70!
This is fitted to an early sport 325 lump.
