325i Auto starting issues...again

Hi All,
My automatic '86 325i had starting problems which although never completely got fixed, it was better with a leaner mod (thread below)

I'm revisiting this issue as its getting really frustrating! The issue is that it takes a few cranks to get going and the below has been addressed..
*Pressure checked - OK
*Internal fuel pump and inline pump checked - OK
*Injectotrs - Serviced
*Blue Temp sensor - replaced
*ICV and Fuel Pressure Regulator - Checked OK
*Hoses condition - OK
*Dist cap/rotor arm OK
*Relays OK
*Throttle position sensor - replaced
And thats as far as I've gotten with it.
It takes a good few cranks to get going but when it goes, its fine.
The background to this is that there use to be a 'priming' noise which isn't there anymore - linked in anyway?
Any help will be appreciated as determined to get this resolved as its driving me crazy!
Thanks
Zahid
