HI

i recently met with an accredited Mag wheel agent that happened to mention to me that there is potentially a way of making the E36 M3 suspension fit on my E30 convertible therefore making it now possible to fit 5 x 120 pcd wheels with no problem,

I would like to know from any technical professionals if this is possible and if so what would it entail in terms of modifications to the body or anything else or does it fit straight on ????

Regards

you need to use the E36 compact rear trailing arms mate. As for the front, all E36 will fit I think. The M3/evo and more caster and this was achived using different bottow arms to push the bottom of the leg forward more. Talk to Glenn as he has already done this :)

you can use the e36 strut but because of the differences in body's, they place the wheel too far back in the arch. You need offset m3 bushes and e36M3Evo front arms to re-set the location. Don't know if there is less castor because of this. You can fit e36 or e46 brakes easily though which is nice.

For the rear you'll need e36 Compact trailing arms.

I fitted e30 M3 running gear to mine which was nice and easy and happens to be 5 stud (it doesn't make much difference to me, i wanted the handling not the choice of wheels)..
