Hi people,

basically i have in my possession so very nice recaro high back seats which came out of an e28, i want them to go in my e30 cab. i know the fitment is different and was told i may need to get some welding done, i have to pick up the seats from doncaster in yorksire and i live in London so if anybody knows someone in or near abouts those two towns where i can get this sorted that would be mint.

thanks

Ozzy

I have the same problem, have some E28 Recaro´s waiting for me, but don´t know if them will have correct dimensions for the E30 (height, width, etc) and don´t know if them would push the center console or the B-pillar.

I'll have a word with my work mate tomorrow if you want I work in North London. He's ace at this stuff and is a champion welder.

If someone did this mod, please post photos to ser how they fit at wide and height, to ser if they are very tight with the center console or too close to roof. Ozzy, keep us informes on the tweaks on the runners please. I'm very interested on see how they fit :D

might have hit a snag with the seats, they came out of a 535i which is obs a four door, did not check with the seller off ebay whether or not the back of the seat could move forward or not (going into a cab).....i know im a total noob, anyway will get back to you all on this.

Tottaly different Gorden, you can "Bodge" them in, Diddler tried this mod and failed.
Seats sit too high, and are slightly too wide.

E28 BMW sport seats will fit an E30 with the runners swapped over but E28 Recaro LS "highback" seats will not fit an E30.
