E30 Zone

firstly i have heard that an e46 steering rack fits the e30 giving it less turns lock to lock, is this true? if so how hard is it to fit?

secondly i have been thinking about removing the viscous fan and fitting an electric suck through instead, is it worth doing does it free up any power?

lastly i have a 1987 tech one sport, how do i know if its a low comp or a high comp motor?

Try the search function for the e46 rack swap, it's been asked many times and there should be loads of info available.

Afaik there is no benefit in changing the viscous fan to an electric one, it's usually only done in engine swaps where there is not enough room for a viscous one.

All tech 1's came with the high comp motor.
