As above
My Dad has bent the aerial on his 325 (Ԛ“JԚâ€a 1991 2 door if it makes any diff)
ItÔš's the original black chrome, can the aerial be taken apart and re-assembled with a new telescopic tube or is it complete replacement only?
Best place to buy from?
Thanks
B

Yes it can - or so i'm led to believe - so i'm having a go at mine but i'm having difficulty taking the motor cowling off/apart - i think i've a hidden screw somewhere
Most good part stores should have replacement tubes but I don't know if you'll get a black one

If its a Hirschmann aerial (original) then I got replacement bits for mine at

Dont quote me but i think the part no was HIR2040SW. Be sure to specify if you want the whole thing or just the mast and what colour you need the mast to be.

i did post a reply but it seems to have disapeared so ill try again...i have a original hirschman ariel and you can but replacement masts for it and i think this was the original fit to a lot of bmw,s they do come up on ebay from time to time but are the same as the 5 series so try looking on the 5 series pages as well. etk says they are still available new from bmw but cost about Ԛ£30 part nos are 65 22 1 376 007 for chrome and 65 22 1 381 336 for the black one
