Knocking Noise

Hi, my 1991 320 cab 155k has developed a knocking noise. It is most obvious when I drive to work in the morning 7:30 am ish. It sounds like its under the passenger seat somewhere. Sometimes when I leave work 18:00 it does it also. Temperature related?! It only last for a short time/distance but varies in loudness and is connected to accelerating.

Suggestion appreciated as I am getting concerned.

Thanks

I'd be checking the prop shaft center bearing and donut but the knocking would be constant i would have thought.

The noise is getting louder and more frequent. It sounds more like its near the front wheel, could this be wheel bearing or control arm/bush related or any other ideas?

this is where i bought mine and is good quality £30.26 delivered.as far as fitting goes if you goy access to a ramp it,s quite simple just make sure you get the bolts facing the rite way.three bolts insert towards the gearbox and threee insert towards the rear of the car.do not put them in all one way other wise donut won,t last too long.hope this helps
