problem i have is i've broken both a m20 and m10 engine in the past and have just found a flywheel with clutch.

problem i have is i need a m20 flywheel and not sure if the one i have is from a m20 or m10( which i think i have)

the fly wheel has no part number on.. i remember reading that for a m50 conversion you have to machine some of the rear of a m20 fw off, well theres not 6mm of metal behind the ring gear...only about 2-3 mm...

it also has a funny looking lug round the outside of it...like a tab... pictured here

anyone help me out here?

Measure the friction area to be sure, clutch plate on an M20 is 228mm and an M10 is 215mm

Way to check is to use www.realoem.com to check the part number against what should be fitted to M10/M20.

Just wondering if that's an early M20 fly and that fitting is the sensor pin,the one that drops off?

I had to grind a little bit off the sump on my M50 to clear the fly,and swap in a shorter 10mm bolt.
