have some slight rust on my 2 door shell around the front jacking point through into the car, just wondering if its a single skin so it be easy enough just to plate or is it more worthwhile getting an oe panel?
cheers

First of all, this is not a jacking point.
Those square plates were added to enable the bare shells to be moved down a moving production line, they are not strong enough to be used to lift the car.
Depending on your need to return to car to OE spec will determine the type of repair you undertake.Myself,I would grind of the remains and weld in a plate of similar thickness that would leave a nice smooth surface under the car.
Those who want an OE appearance carefully fold up a sheet to replecate the square,rust-prone item.
