E30 Zone

Painting my spare wheel well and sills white looks odd to say the least! I am going to hammerite them black until I can afford a proper respray.

Though my education is rooted in Pharmaceutical and Chemical science.. I'm not sure what would remove waxoil without eating paint.

Any ideas please?

Personally, id remove hammerite so I could waxoil

Unless you mean underseal? Which is a different kettle of fish

I got so carried away with wanting it black that I didn't think about what I should be using

Okey dokey. I've got some multicoloured white spirits from doing oil portraits.. I'll give that a go.

Or... due to the fact that the underseal is very oily, would the solvent contained within it mix the waxoil and underseal together? Id est, would it adhere straight to the waxoil?

I suppose it might create a weird waxy emulsion...

use some brake cleaner to get the wax off
