hi i was wondering if anyone can help??
my central locking was working fine then one day the drivers lock stopped operating the central locking so i continued to use the pas side lock to lock unlock doors, now its all packed in and the drivers lock unlocks but just turns without locking so i have to climb over pas seat to push the pin down and then lock the pas door manually!!! it became even more of a prom when i needed to fuel up as the cap was locked and needed to prise it open>> please has anyone any idea what has caused it is it the drivers lock mech???

you need to take the door panel off and have a look what is going on inside...the locking rings often brake affecting the deadlocking etc but it could be something as simple as a metal con rod having come off or the locking solenoid not working.
another thing to look at would be the central locking control module in the drivers footwell under the speaker..they often burn out on the circuit board

willnz wrote: The mod simply bypasses this routing through the door by cutting the red/black wires at the plug inside the speaker enclosure and joining them together.
It also removes the presence of permanent live power on two pins in the plug and socket, which, along with moisture finding its way in, is the reason corrosion takes place.

yeah had a look at the lock/central locking, found out that the door/pilar conection is dodgy have to push it in to get central locking working! think mite need to clean the pins.
By the way there is a wire which has been added with a red connector so think must have the mod allready?
now the drivers door lock.... took the door card off had a look inside door and found what looks like the spring in the pic above and confirmed this when looking at the lock itself!! its missing.
Is there an easy way to remove the lock as it looks impossible to get too???
cheers
