pop out windows

hi all having some difficulty with the above.
my car did not originally have them but the guy before me thort it would be a gd idea to molest the sh1t out of evrything! the hinges toward the front end of the car on(how i got it) bt when i offered up the rear side of the window it didnt seem to even be close, and the window would not shut!
any help would be much appriciated.
