m30 unknown plug

On my e30 m30b35, noticed today that theres a plug connector in the engine wiring harness which isnt connected to anything and just dangling there. Cant find anything which it could possibly connect to.

It comes out of the harness at the starter motor along with some wires which connect to the starter motor and another plug which connects to a plug that looks like it goes straight back in the loom. The one im unsure of has quite alot of length to it roughly 15 inch of wire with a 2 pin plug on the end. Its just hooked over the master cylinder at the moment doing nothing.

Anyone know what its for, or could have a look for me?

Much appreciated

As said it comes out of the loom next to the starter motor and as you can see has a good radius where it can reach.

Yes that is typically only used on few late model cars. It is for the charcoal canister vent solenoid....its the same as the early m20 lump 2.5, i had this on my e28 m535i aswell< is your car a e30 with an m30?
