E30 Zone

my batttery was fine a few days ago, engine always fired up first time, but now its cold, the battery seems to have been losing a bit of charge, and today, it didn't start at all.....a bit embarassing with the alarm going off! had absolutely no problems since last winter and had to charge the battery a couple of times.....no probs with normal weather.

i only drive 10 mile round trip to work, but the engine gets a good run as its mainly A roads, albeit with a bit of traffic...

i have got the battery on charge and will try it tomorrow, but is this a sign of a nackered battery, if so which one would you guys recommend?

ok....i have had it on the charger for about 15mins and the charges says its fully charged?!?!

are you sure its the battery? does the engine turn at all? will it start with jump leads or a booster pack?

Have you considered the alternator? Once you get it started again, unplug the battery, see if the car still runs; use electric wondows, radio, etc, to put a load on the alternator.
