E30 Zone

i went out to car thismorning got the de-icer off back seat and now rear door will not shut on the e30, ive tryed pushing the locking arm back but will not lock, any ideas ?

Is the car still frozen? could just be the catch sticking due to the cold temperature.

mine does this sometimes, push the button down on the door for the lock then shut the door, it'll stay shut then

There's a 'C' shaped gadget in the latching gear that can stick,usually due to lack of lubrication.

Proper fix would be to strip the door,remove the latch and clean and lubricate.

But it's far to bloody cold to do that today,si I would try some WD40 or similar into the latch from the door jamb!
