Hi mate ... I coudn't make up my mind between the Toyo Proxes TR1 or the Dunlop SP3000 sport .... went for the Dunlop in the end ... I think it is a great tyre ... no more wheel spin changing from 2nd to 3rd when gunning it and nothing really in first either ... was only a month ago so haven't had a chance to push them in the wet to see how good they are at shifting water.
Cost wise they were not much more expensive than the Toyo but prices are different over here.
Looking at a website with tyre test results they compared quite closely to The daddy of tyres - the Eagle F1.
Great traction - no road noise and comfortable !! (they are 205/55/15)

Was considering the same thing today! Only need 2 though - the p6000s on the back have loads of life left & better tyres on the front's got to be the best plan

Thinkin t1rs at the mo... :?

Dunno... think the t1r is the replacement for the t1s though? They're trying to confuse us!

I called a couple of tyre places today. The F1 is no longer available in 205/50/15" The Avon ZZ3 is being discontinued :(

They suggested the Avon ZV3 :( or the Goodyear NCT5 :(

I had Nct2's when I had my first E30, they were great compaired to the tyres on there, but then I got the Avon ZV1's and they made the NCT2's look like :piss:

There must be a good choice out there!

The search goes on.......

I'd try somewhere else TBH mate... Falkens are on Camskill (& I think Karen's got em too?!), & P6000s definately ain't all that... :?

2 x Toyo T-1r for Ԛ£98 = the way to go methinks!

The P6000's are now fitted, (did before I read the last two posts). They stick the front of the car like it is on rails, my only negitive point would be that the sidewalls feel too tall or not stiff enough. I wonder if they make a 205/40/15"?

Hmmmm

Glad you like em

I wasn't saying they were *bad*, just that they've not impressed me hugely. Mine are 55s though... I think 40 might be pushing it!
