Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum, as I have bought a 92 J reg 320i to sort out over the winter, It is in fairly good nick, is an auto, leccy windows and miorrors, mauritius blue, grey leather and blue hood. My rear window is misted up!

my issue is the electric roof.

The motors were disconnected, and pulled away from the rataining bracket.

I have used a power probe, and both motors work, and operate the roof....

there is power to the switch on the dashboard

all the other electrics are fine

i cannot see any blinking sign on the dash lights

all my fuses and relays seem fine....

i am simply lost....and the motors deefinately work....

i just don't know where this problem is, nor do i know how to syncronise the motors...

i am going to have a trawl through and see if i can find anything

cheers, and thanks in advance if anyone has any tips

Microswitches? There are switches that supply power to various parts of the system at various times. For example no power will go to the motors if the header rail catches aren't undone. There is some info in the repair manual.
