i did go for a smaller size 195 45 15. any thing will be better than the ( fate O ) tyres that are on there, its like driving on ice in the wet.

Surely that isnt for all four tyres fitted? if it is, where did you get them from?
Cheers

Im going to get some Toyo T1R's for mine. local tyre garage charges about £70 each fitted but they come with a years warranty / wear warranty. worth paying the extra mate as i had a full set on my focus and about a week later got a puncture, as it was like new i only paid £15 for a new one fitted.
Brilliant road tyre with shead loads of grip.
Had them on three different cars now and love em!

the best tyres i ever had on any of my e30's were goodyear eagle f1's... they came nearly new on a set of alloys and lasted an eternity, couldnt afford to replace them like for like and instantly noticed the handling wasn't as good on the pirellis.

Toyo T1Rs are the most over-rated tyre ever in my opinion. Every car forum i've been on seems to rave about them too and I cant understand why.

I agree they are ok but I have found eagle f1's bridgestone potenzas unirpoyal rainsport2's and vredstein sportrac 3's better on an e30

i had a set of toyos on an astra gsi..hated them on that and not bought them since, if you have the cash get the eagle f1's or bridgestones... another excellent tyre that is brilliant in the wet and more brilliant in the dry is the dunlop sport range..we use them in work

I have run many tyres on many cars and for the money Toyo's can't be beaten as a fast road tyre tbh

And how much are they? Toyo's suit the E30.

That will look shocking on 15" BBS'... 195/50's are cheaper and would look marginally better, even if still very undersized.

i use budget tyres and the car handles fine, personally i dont think theres any need for premium high price tyres on a normal car

Yeah but if you were trying to keep up with me you would only see the back of the car, as this corners like it's on rails

It's not always about the looks, I prefer to make it drive better than look pc

alrighty then..... a set of low profile tyres make your car handle better than mine? thats one hell of a assumption. for the record i run 40 profile tyres, but they dont look lost in my arches

I am not even sure where to start, but this will do.. You do realise you've reduced your grip levels right?

If only you knew..
205/40 is a wrong size also, but at least it maintains the standard width..
I am curious as to why you would think yours handles better though..
