E30 Zone

Hi all

On my home last night stuck in traffic I notice that the oil light on the dash starting to flicker whilst engine was idleing. When i rev it up it goes off.

Anybody had this problem before.

Sounds like oil pressure is too low at idle. What speed does your engine idle at?

Quite high i think 900rpm

I would personally try a new oil pressure switch, if it still occurs a check of the oil pressure through the same port.
